This is a listing of hotels and resorts we've experienced. It includes properties we've stayed at or visited.
These are our favorites
An amazing spa-like island resort where you stay in one of 46 villas. Each villa (1420 sqft) has its own name, its own pool, indoor/outdoor bathroom, and tons of other amenities.
We don't typically spend this much for a place to stay, but this is NOT a hotel "room". Your backyard is a courtyard with a private pool & cabana while your front yard opens into the ocean, with a Thai Sala (thatched hut) and hammock. It's nothing we've experienced before. We kayaked around the island & it was included.
Awesome resort featuring a unique room with a cool, all-glass standing shower. The only one of its kind for us.
From newest to oldest
An amazing resort consisting of many villas. Ours was an overwater villa without pool, but it has a net that extends over the water. There's also a glass opening inside the room with light underneath so you can watch fish swim by and see water reflections on the ceiling at night.
This resort has a lot of amenities. Sunset at their infinity pool is amazing. On site restaurants are great as well.
9/10 only because we've experienced Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru.
An iconic structure 30 minutes drive in land from Doha.
Nice in-land hotel hosting Sabai Thai, our restaurant for that night
Boutique hotel at the beautiful Mina Corniche
Boutique hotel in Msheireb
High-end beach-side hotel in West Bay area
Ultra-luxury hotel in one half of the iconic Katara tower. The ceiling above the lobby is one giant kaleidoscope. You can see it here reflecting purple motif representing Ramadan.
