We found each other in 8th grade and have been best friends ever since.
I am in IT while my wife worked in banking, but more importantly, we are two kids who love to play.
We love meeting people, experiencing cultures, absorbing history, taking pictures, and eating food 😋. Traveling connects us to all those things so naturally, that's what we love doing.
Who we are
Both of us came to the US as teens from a developing country. Because of this, we understand and identify with many people we visit. Whether exploring the US or venturing abroad, we appreciate the charm of rural life just as much as the allure of bustling cities. From architectural marvels of New York and Paris to natural splendors of Yellowstone and Plitvice Lakes, we find beauty everywhere we go. Embracing the road trip mentality enriched our lives in ways we could never imagined.
Home is where the heart is, but who’s to say your heart can’t love the world?
While work is necessary to fund our adventures, we firmly believe in working to live, not living to work. Our hope is that one day, work will take a backseat, allowing us to truly make the world our home, moving from one place to another every few months.
Who we are as travelers
There are many kinds of travelers: backpackers, retirees, honeymooners, explorers, budget travelers, or super luxe travelers. The travel experience varies depending on which "type" you are.
We evolved as travelers over the years. Early on, we were the budget explorers...not quite hostel hoppers, but we regularly hit Denny's for coupon books in search of vacancy. After a few $20 motels, we decided to stick to at least Best Western. That was the standard for a while as we hop all over the US. Internationally, we were fine with 3, sometimes 2 stars accommodations.
Experience-wise, we focus on exploration so chilling at the pool/beach sipping Mai Tais is not our thing. We prioritize going out and spending all day in town absorbing day life, night life, and everything in between.
This changed however, as a growing budget allows us to step up. It opened the doors to more resorts and hotels with loads of amenities (we stick to free ones).
Now, we're somewhere in the luxe explorer category. It's great to do 30k steps all over town, sweating under the sun or taking on dirt from hiking trails then go home to a nice clean room, comfy bed, and a modern shower with strong pressure. We'll take massaging shower heads, smart glass windows, and good smelling soaps too (still have a few from Banyan Tree). We also added beautiful hotels, atriums, rooftops, lounges, and live music dining to our target experience list. Why not? Many of them can be accessed for free.

Our travels took us to many places, but what we’ve seen and experienced is just a fraction of what's out there. The journey never ends, and we love it that way. Let’s keep going! ✈️🌍
